Basketball Recap: East Forsyth Snags Ninth Win in Last Ten Games

East Forsyth extended their home winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Alyssa Jessup. The East Forsyth Eagles came out on top against the Mount Tabor Spartans by a score of 57-45 on Tuesday thanks in part to Jessup, who went 6 for 9 en route to 17 points along with seven boards and six assists. Those six assists gave her a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Mya Booth, who posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and five blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted five or more in the last three games she's played.

Despite the loss, Mount Tabor still got an impressive performance from Shaymiah Bailey, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella-Ashleigh Fulp, who had eight points and three steals.

East Forsyth has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Mount Tabor, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

East Forsyth will venture away from home to take on Parkland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Parkland will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something East Forsyth surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mount Tabor, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Southwest Guilford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
