Softball Recap: Meridian Wildcats vs. Sacred Heart Crusaders        
        
		
            
 Meridian scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Thursday. They came out on top against the Sacred Heart Crusaders by a score of  21-17. The  victory was just what Meridian needed coming off of  a  16-7 loss in their prior  match.
  Jazlynn Sulton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing two innings while giving up   no  earned run or  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). Sulton was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in five of her six plate appearances with three  runs, four  RBI,  and a  double.
 In other batting news,  Zyon Moffitte and  KaMya Dunn did most of the damage at the plate:  Moffitte  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances, while  Dunn  got on base  in all six of her plate appearances with five  RBI and a  double.  Demia Warren was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her six plate appearances.
 Meridian's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Sacred Heart,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-10.
 Meridian will head out on the road to  face off against  Brandon at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Brandon is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.7  runs per game this season. As for Sacred Heart, they will be playing at home against Richton at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
