Football Recap: Pioneer Find Success

Pioneer was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They came out on top against the Edinburg North Cougars by a score of 21-12. The Diamondbacks haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

William Goodloe went supernova, rushing for 105 yards and one score on only 11 carries, while also picking up 52 receiving yards. Those 52 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.

Pioneer's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Edinburg North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pioneer will venture away from home to take on Hanna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Edinburg North, they will head out to square off against Mercedes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
