Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Olivia Frank and Rachel Mcclellan Lead Glendale to Victory

While Glendale's victory against Ferndale wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Yellow Jackets 3-2.

Glendale wouldn't go down easily and took Ferndale into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-15, 25-20, 23-25, 16-14.

Leading Glendale to victory were Rachel McClellan and Olivia Frank. McClellan had 28 kills, 14 digs, and four aces, while Frank had 23 digs and 14 kills. That's the most kills McClellan has posted over her last six matchups. Another player making a difference was Hannah Matish, who had 20 assists and 13 digs.

Glendale's win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 13-13-1. As for Ferndale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17-1 record this season.
