Football Recap: Brandon Peffers' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Shadow Hills over Palm Springs + How To Watch

Shadow Hills was the 45-35 winner over Palm Springs when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights came up short against the Indians on Friday, falling 41-21. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 495th, while the Indians are ranked 199th).

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brandon Peffers, who picked up 102 receiving yards and one score.

Shadow Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jacob Gavin. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with nine.

Bishop Miller produced another solid performance rushing for 55 yards and a pair of touchdowns for Palm Springs. Tyler Hebrard also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Shadow Hills' record is now 4-3. As for Palm Springs, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Shadow Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 38-14 loss against Palm Desert on the 16th. As for Palm Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 26-0 victory against Xavier Prep on the 17th.
