Softball Recap: Calais Comes Up Short

Calais was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 17-2 to the Woodland Dragons. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Calais saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Lewey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Calais' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Woodland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Coincidentally, Calais and Woodland will both be playing Jonesport-Beals the next time they take the field. The Blue Devils will host the Royals at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Dragons will head out to face them at 11:00 a.m. on the 30th.
