Basketball Recap: Seymour Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Seymour had won three straight games and Viktoria Michalczyk did her part to make it four on Wednesday. The Seymour Wildcats strolled past the Naugatuck Greyhounds with points to spare, taking the game 54-40 thanks in part to Michalczyk, who went 7 for 13 en route to 19 points along with seven assists and six boards. Those six rebounds gave her a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Cunningham, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played.

Seymour's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. As for Naugatuck, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seymour has already played their next matchup (against St. Paul Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Naugatuck has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Bullard-Havens.
