Volleyball Recap: Elk Grove Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Elk Grove had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Bradshaw Christian Pride by a score of 3-2. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Cloe Hocker paced Elk Grove's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hocker got some help from Lila Knowles and her 16 assists. Knowles was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Bradshaw Christian's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-6.

Elk Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Liberty Ranch on the 28th. As for Bradshaw Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Bear River at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
