Softball Recap: James Clemens Takes a Loss

James Clemens managed to slip by West Limestone the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Jets came up short against the Wildcats on Saturday, falling 11-2. The Jets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

James Clemens saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makayla Mann, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Mann hit this season.

This is the second loss in a row for James Clemens and nudges their season record down to 10-16-1. As for West Limestone, their record is now 29-4.

James Clemens didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-4 win against Skyline on the 5th. As for West Limestone, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Lawrence County on the 5th.
