Football Recap: Coffee County Central Starts Season with Win Against Franklin County + How To Watch

Coffee County Central had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down the Franklin County Rebels 30-14. The victory continues a trend for the Red Raiders in their matchups with the Rebels: they've now won three in a row.

Kaysen Lowery was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 270 yards and three TDs while completing 74.1% of his passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Those 270 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Kane Dixon was Lowery's top target, picking up 87 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Coffee County Central's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Axil Andrews and Hank Crabtree, who racked up four sacks between them. Crabtree has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last four times he's played.

Coming up, Coffee County Central will be playing at home against Tullahoma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin County, they will welcome Mahwah at 9:15 p.m. on Friday.
