Football Game Preview: McArthur Mustangs vs. Cooper City Cowboys

The McArthur Mustangs will take on the Cooper City Cowboys at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. McArthur's offense hasn't had much luck over their past ten matchups, but Tuesday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

McArthur's offense might be in the hot seat on Tuesday considering what happened against Piper on Friday. They were outmatched by the Bengals and fell 39-0. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 250th, while the Bengals are ranked 98th).

Meanwhile, Cooper City had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 12-6 W over Dillard on Thursday.

Cooper City's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for McArthur, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

McArthur ended up a good deal behind Cooper City when the teams last played back in March of 2024, losing 18-0. Can McArthur avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
