Silver Creek entered their tilt with Southridge on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Raiders. This was payback for the Dragons, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Preston Burton made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mikey Williamson, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Burns, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Silver Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.
