Northeast and Hollins are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but likely not for long. Northeast will look to defend their home field on Monday against Hollins at 7:30 p.m. Northeast will be strutting in after a victory while Hollins will be coming in after a loss.

Northeast took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Boca Ciega by a score of 5-1. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Cameron Hasson looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Connor Weldon, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Drew Densa, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Hollins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Seminole.

Hollins saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riley McDonald, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Justin Stiles was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Hollins' loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Northeast, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Northeast beat Hollins 4-0 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Does Northeast have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hollins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
