Basketball Preview: Pauls Valley Panthers vs. Comanche Indians
The Pauls Valley Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Comanche Indians at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Pauls Valley is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Indians in Oklahoma (the Panthers are ranked 71st, while the Indians are ranked 225th).
Pauls Valley pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 65-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Washington.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 54-22, which was the final score in Comanche's tilt against the Warriors on Saturday. Comanche has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Pauls Valley's loss dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Comanche, they dropped their record down to 8-13 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Pauls Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against the Indians when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 34-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pauls Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
