Basketball Recap: Whitefield Academy Comes Up Short

Whitefield Academy was the 69-42 winner over Landmark Christian when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Whitefield Academy WolfPack were just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 56-55 to the Landmark Christian War Eagles. That's two games in a row now that the WolfPack have lost by just one point.

Whitefield Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10. As for Landmark Christian, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitefield Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against King's Ridge Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitefield Academy is facing King's Ridge Christian at the right time seeing as King's Ridge Christian is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Landmark Christian, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Walker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walker knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Landmark Christian likes a good challenge.
