Soccer Recap: William Penn Comes Up Short

William Penn fought the good fight in their overtime game against Hanover on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Nighthawks by a score of 2-1. William Penn were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hanover apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for William Penn and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Hanover, they moved to 3-5-1 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, William Penn is taking a road trip to challenge Northeastern at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hanover, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Littlestown at 7:00 p.m.
