Goliad came tearing into Thursday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Luling Eagles as they made off with an 11-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 on April 1st.

Kayden Caka was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Barrett Garcia was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Goliad kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.

Goliad's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.4 runs over those games. As for Luling, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 14 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.
