Hanks' loss on Thursday came despite strong showings from Daisy Fernandez and Elise (Jax) Alva. Fernandez dropped a double-double on 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Alva scored 19 points. Fernandez scored a full 32.1% of Hanks' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Anette Hernandez, who scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Hanks has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for V.R. Eaton, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Hanks will square off against Wylie at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wylie presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hanks in Texas (Wylie is ranked 314th, while Hanks is ranked 703rd). As for V.R. Eaton, they will take on Reedy at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
