Baseball Game Preview: Randolph Rockets vs. Wild Rose Wildcats

The Randolph Rockets will face off against the Wild Rose Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Randolph and 17 for Wild Rose dating back to last season.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Randolph's offense. They lost 12-0 to Green Lake/Princeton on Thursday.

Pittsville hit Wild Rose with a five-run second inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Panthers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Wild Rose saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden King, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that King has snagged this season.

Randolph's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Wild Rose, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
