Baseball Game Preview: Webberville Spartans vs. Byron Eagles

Webberville hasn't had much luck against Byron recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Spartans will challenge the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Webberville has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Webberville came up short against Merrill and fell 12-8.

JOSHUA BOSCHMA made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Byron lost 16-6 to Montrose on Monday.

Kyan Roberts was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Byron's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Webberville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

Webberville might still be hurting after the 15-3 defeat they got from Byron when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Spartans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
