Basketball Game Preview: Conestoga Cougars vs. Fairbury Jeffs

The Conestoga Cougars will challenge the Fairbury Jeffs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Conestoga was able to grind out a solid win over Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, taking the game 58-48. The Cougars haven't had any issues with Logan View/Scribner-Snyder recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Fairbury entered their tilt with Falls City on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 48-32 win over the Tigers.

Fairbury's win came from a few key players Conestoga will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brodie Prellwitz, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 14 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Korey Nippert, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Fairbury smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January.

Conestoga's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Fairbury, their win bumped their record up to 9-14.
