Football Game Preview: Seaforth Hawks vs. Carrboro Jaguars + How To Watch

The Seaforth Hawks will take on the Carrboro Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Seaforth's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Carrboro has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Friday, Seaforth was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-39 to J.F. Webb.

Despite the defeat, Seaforth got top-tier performance from Duncan Parker, who threw for 238 yards and four TDs, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground. Parker's passing game has become a key predictor of the Hawks' success: the team is 3-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-4 otherwise. Mason Pooley also deserves some recognition as he rushed for his first rushing yards of the season.

Meanwhile, while Carrboro put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for Cedar Ridge. The Jaguars strolled past the Fighting Red Wolves with points to spare, taking the game 14-0.

Carrboro's win came from a few key players Seaforth will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Matthew Bien-Aise, who picked up 78 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two).

Seaforth's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-5. As for Carrboro, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.
