Butler lost against Holy Cross back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bears came up short against the Cougars, falling 3-0. The Bears' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-15, 25-10.

Leading Holy Cross to victory were Ellery Warnock and Kylie Harrington. Warnock had eight digs and two aces, while Harrington had six aces and one assist. That's the most aces Warnock has posted over her last four matches.

Butler's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Holy Cross, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Looking ahead, Butler will take on Western at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Holy Cross, they will face off against Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
