Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Cole Reilly and Michael Giangiulio Lead Plymouth Whitemarsh to Victory

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Plymouth Whitemarsh ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They managed a 33-27 victory over the Wissahickon Trojans. The win was familiar territory for the Colonials, who have now won three contests in a row.

Plymouth Whitemarsh was led to victory by Michael Giangiulio and Cole Reilly. Giangiulio rushed for 231 yards and two scores while picking up 8.3 yards per carry, while Reilly rushed for 136 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. The Colonials are 3-1 when Giangiulio posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Amir Butler was in the mix as well, providing Plymouth Whitemarsh with one TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Plymouth Whitemarsh was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 403 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Plymouth Whitemarsh now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Wissahickon, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
