Baseball Recap: University Takes a Loss

University lost against Lapel back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trailblazers fell 10-7 to the Bulldogs. The Trailblazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Phillip Jacobs was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

University now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Lapel, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-1.

Looking ahead, University will welcome Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lapel, they will square off against Elwood at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
