Dorman and Clover are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Cavaliers will head out on the road to take on the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Dorman is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Dorman was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Rock Hill on Friday. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Cavaliers have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Makenzie Rapalee tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Dorman got a massive performance out of Aubri George, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Those three hits gave George a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Clark, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Dorman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Clover and James F. Byrnes squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Clover had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rebels by a score of 4-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Dorman is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-13 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.2 runs over those games. As for Clover, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-8.
Dorman couldn't quite finish off Clover in their previous meeting on Wednesday and fell 6-4. Can the Cavaliers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
