Basketball Recap: Pleasant Grove Comes Up Short

Pleasant Grove won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They came up short against the Bonham Warriors, falling 56-35. The match marked the Hawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jk Wilson had a dynamite game for Bonham, as he made all 7 shots he took racking up 23 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Wilson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Russell Welch, who went 9 for 14 on his way to 20 points.

Pleasant Grove has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season. As for Bonham, their record now sits at 16-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasant Grove will take on North Lamar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in North Lamar's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
