Coalfield waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Greenback Cherokees 35-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Yellow Jackets' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 116th, while the Cherokees are ranked 291st).

Coalfield's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Greenback, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Coalfield is set to square off against their familiar foe Oliver Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Greenback will challenge rival Rockwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. That contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Elliott Lindsey and Jayden Davidson.
