After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Taylor, New Smyrna Beach was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 14-7 margin over the Seabreeze Sandcrabs. The Barracudas haven't had any issues with the Sandcrabs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Paige Evans was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaclyn Betti, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.

New Smyrna Beach hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 2-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.

New Smyrna Beach's victory bumped their record up to 3-13. As for Seabreeze, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.

Looking ahead, New Smyrna Beach will face off against Atlantic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seabreeze, they will challenge Taylor at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
