Tupelo has gone 7-1 against North Pontotoc recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Golden Wave will host the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. Tupelo has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Meanwhile, North Pontotoc waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 10-7. North Pontotoc's win was all the more impressive since the Hawks were averaging only 2.91 runs allowed on the season.

North Pontotoc pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Tupelo, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Tupelo took their victory against North Pontotoc in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 15-3 score. Will the Golden Wave repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
