Softball Recap: California Military Institute Comes Up Short

California Military Institute was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 15-10 to the Nuview Bridge Knights. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-9 back in March.

Valerie Martinez was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Bella Delgado, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

California Military Institute's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Nuview Bridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. California Military Institute is set to square off against their familiar foe Temecula Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Nuview Bridge will challenge rival San Jacinto Valley Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
