Recap: Rockwell Christian School Chargers vs. Jackson Day Mariners
After flying high against the Matthews Christian Academy Colts two weeks ago, the Rockwell Christian School Chargers came back down to earth. Rockwell Christian School lost to Jackson Day on the road by a decisive 49-33 margin on Thursday.
Despite the loss, Rockwell Christian School still got an impressive performance from Kylie Smith, who scored 13 points. The game was Smith's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kailey Leepard, who scored seven points.
Rockwell Christian School's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Jackson Day, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Rockwell Christian School and Grace Academy will round out the year against one another at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at. As for Jackson Day, they will face off against Westminster Catawba Christian at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Westminster Catawba Christian is ranked 311th in South Carolina, while Jackson Day is ranked 316th in North Carolina).
