Football Recap: Walthill Comes Up Short

Walthill scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were beaten by the Winside Wildcats 72-40. The Blujays haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Despite the defeat, Walthill saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mike Dale picked up 92 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Walthill's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Winside, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Walthill is set to challenge their familiar foe Wynot on Friday. Meanwhile, Winside will take on rival Bancroft-Rosalie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
