Basketball Game Preview: Ryan Raiders vs. Argyle Eagles

The Ryan Raiders will venture away from home to square off against the Argyle Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ryan has given up an average of 56.8 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Ryan didn't have quite enough to beat Colleyville Heritage and fell 58-55. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Argyle was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 44-38 to Denton. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Broncos are ranked 33rd).

Argyle's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Ryan, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Things could have been worse for Ryan, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-36 loss to Argyle in their previous meeting back in January of 2025. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
