Chesapeake dropped their record down to 7-7 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Sparrows Point Pointers, falling 23-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Bay Hawks were not able to get on the board.

As for Sparrows Point, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Sparrows Point's part, Alana Meurer was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits Meurer has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Cook, who earned four runs and five stolen bases.

As of now, neither Chesapeake nor Sparrows Point have any future games scheduled.
