Recap: Collins Hill Eagles vs. Archer Tigers
If the Collins Hill Eagles were riding high off their 67-40 takedown of the Lakeside Vikings on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The matchup between Collins Hill and Archer wasn't particularly close, with Collins Hill falling 64-47. Collins Hill was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Archer apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2020.
Collins Hill's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleigh Heywood, who scored 9 points along with 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Paris Fillingame, who scored 12 points.
Collins Hill has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Archer, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collins Hill will take on M.L. King at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. M.L. King is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Archer, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Dacula at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
