Baseball Recap: Northeastern Takes a Loss

Northeastern and Hagerstown squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Northeastern had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 5-3.

Northeastern has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Hagerstown, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Northeastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hagerstown, they have already played their next matchup, an 11-0 win against Centerville on the 1st.
