Basketball Game Preview: Alta-Aurelia Warriors vs. Ar-We-Va Rockets

The Alta-Aurelia Warriors will head out to face off against the Ar-We-Va Rockets at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Alta-Aurelia has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Ar-We-Va will arrive with three straight victories.

Alta-Aurelia might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 41-40 to Kingsley-Pierson, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Ar-We-Va was fully in charge on Monday, breezing past Storm Lake St. Mary 60-27. The Rockets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Ar-We-Va's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Alta-Aurelia, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Alta-Aurelia didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Ar-We-Va in their previous matchup back in February, but they still walked away with a 67-61 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alta-Aurelia since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
