The matchup between Westside and Rivercrest on Friday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Warriors simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Colts 68-40. The Warriors have beaten the Colts the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Colts has come to flipping the script.

Despite the loss, Rivercrest saw an underclassman step up: freshman Armani Facon posted 16 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Facon is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Gabby Harris was another key player, putting up seven points.

The victory got Westside back to even at 5-5. As for Rivercrest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Westside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-48 defeat against Buffalo Island Central on the 13th. Rivercrest and Newport will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
