Basketball Recap: Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Takes a Loss

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Cary Christian Knights 68-25. The Lion were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-10.

Despite the loss, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill saw an underclassman step up: freshman Luke Kinder posted eight points and six boards.

Leading Cary Christian to victory were Andrew Neal and Cennoth Kalisiak. Neal dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 boards, while Kalisiak went 7 of 9 on his way to 18 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Neal a new career-high in steals (eight). Another player making a difference was Reed Harvey, who had nine points.

Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Cary Christian, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
