NCAA Tournament 2014: High school teammates who will play with and against each other in Sweet 16

By Colin Ward-Henninger Mar 26, 2014, 10:17am

Former high school teammates will be both teammates and opponents in the Sweet 16.

San Diego State's Dwayne Polee II led Westchester to a 2009-10 California state title along with teammate Jordin Mayes, now at Arizona. The two players will now face each other in the Sweet 16.

Once friends. Now combatants.

This year's NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 will feature players who were once high school teammates doing battle against each other with national title hopes hanging in the balance.

There are also several former high school teammates who could potentially meet up as the tournament goes along.

On the other hand, there are also plenty of sets of high school teammates who decided to remain teammates by attending the same college. Louisville has players that are very familiar with each other, as four players came from Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, Va.).

This year's Sweet 16 is also a family affair, as four sets of brothers will compete, including three sets of twins (Kentucky's Aaron and Andrew Harrison, UCLA's Travis and David Wear and Stanford's Marcus and Malcolm Allen).

Check out the lists below to see which sets of teammates could be potential opponents, and which could be cutting down the nets together this weekend.
