Volleyball Recap: Mallard Creek Falls to Hickory Ridge in First Game of Season

Mallard Creek unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mavericks of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Mallard Creek was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Hickory Ridge work for it, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-23, 26-24, 25-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mallard Creek will face off against Sun Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hickory Ridge, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
