Deshler won the last time they faced Danville and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Hawks 58-7. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Hawks are ranked 378th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Deshler's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Armani McClendon, who rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Price Thornton, who threw for 130 yards and three TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes.

The victory (which was Deshler's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 36.0 points this season. As for Danville, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
