Baseball Game Preview: Clarkstown North Rams vs. Greeley Quakers

The Clarkstown North Rams will square off against the Greeley Quakers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Clarkstown North is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Nyack 15-5 on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Rams with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Greeley entered their tilt with Ossining on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Pride. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Quakers have posted against the Pride since May 2, 2017.

Joe McGuire tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Greeley got a big performance out of Ben Falk, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Ben Lederman was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Clarkstown North's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Greeley, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Clarkstown North came up short against Greeley in their previous meeting back in April of 2017, falling 5-1. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
