Volleyball Recap: Western Sierra Collegiate Academy Comes Up Short

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy lost against Bear River back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Wolves fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 2-1. While the Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bruins 25-21 in the first set.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 15-11.

Among those leading the charge was Brooke Milligan, who had 25 assists. Those 25 assists gave her a new career-high.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bear River, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Western Sierra Collegiate Academy has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Argonaut on the 23rd. As for Bear River, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Ben Holt College Prep Academy on the 23rd.
