Wylie is 9-1 against Rowlett since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Wylie Pirates will be playing at home against the Rowlett Eagles at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Wylie is returning home triumphant after the team finally put their road woes behind them against Naaman Forest on Tuesday. Wylie blew past Naaman Forest 67-47. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Rangers are ranked 1037th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rowlett). They blew past Garland, posting an 87-42 win. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Rowlett and bumps their season record up to 4-7. As for Wylie, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Wylie strolled past Rowlett in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 72-54. Does Wylie have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rowlett turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
