Soccer Game Preview: Pensacola Catholic vs. Santa Fe

The Pensacola Catholic Crusaders will face off against the Santa Fe Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pensacola Catholic's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Santa Fe's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Pensacola Catholic heads in on the heels of a playoff match last Thursday. They fell just short of South Walton by a score of 1-0. The Crusaders were red-hot offensively headed into the contest (they scored no less than four goals in the three games prior) but the Seahawks' defense proved too tough.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe kept a clean sheet against Eastside last Thursday. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 2-0. That's two games straight that the Raiders have won by exactly two goals.

Haidyn Smith and Brooke Hendrickson scored both of Santa Fe's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Santa Fe and bumps their season record up to 5-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Pensacola Catholic, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 17-1-1.
