After a string of five wins, Devils Lake's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 26-20 to Minot North. If the Firebirds were looking for revenge after losing 35-20 to Minot North when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Devils Lake's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Minot North, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Devils Lake is set to face off against their familiar foe Dickinson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Minot North will challenge rival Jamestown on Friday.
