Football Recap: Mt. Rainier Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Mt. Rainier was feeling good fresh off their 58-22 takedown of Kentridge last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams fell 14-10 to the Kentwood Conquerors on Friday. The matchup marked the Rams' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Brandon Tagle produced another solid effort throwing for 216 yards and a pair of touchdowns for Kentwood. Tagle's passing game has become a key predictor of the Conquerors' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.

Mt. Rainier's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Kentwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Mt. Rainier will challenge Tahoma at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Kentwood, they will take on Auburn at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Conquerors will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
