Baseball Recap: Normangee Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Normangee can now relate to. They fell 6-2 to the Douglass Indians on Thursday. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Normangee saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Billy Makepeace, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Cade Harris also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Normangee's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Douglass, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7-1 record this season.

While Normangee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
